What a beautiful two nights. Last night, I ended up at a bar down the street I usually don't like. I drank a coke and went home at only 2 (early for my night-owl self), yet had the most ridiculous fun. Came home and wrote all night. Wrote a new resume. Wrote a story. Too cool. Went to sleep with the birds, got up, did some stuff, then met up with a close friend here named Linda. We went grocery shopping for gourmet veggie food and a cheap bottle of wine, cooked, ate, and watched Amelie, plus a couple episodes of Sex and the City. Nothing like a sober bar night and a girl's night to remind you how much fun life is on its own. I am, for the moment, utterly content. And having a folksy, reflective Patty Griffin music night. :o) Hope all is well. See Libertyville kids in a little over a week. Mwah.
